Hello! Did you know, that the newer SDL.dll and SDL_mixer.dll versions are smaller in size than the ones on your site?

SDL.dll 1.2.14 (324,096 bytes)
SDL.dll 1.2.11 (2,173,103 bytes)

SDL_mixer.dll 1.2.11 (143,872 bytes)
SDL_mixer.dll 1.2.7 (229,376 bytes)

Just thought I would let you know, if you are concerned about size for modem users. ;)

welcome back online :D
Ignore the patch I did, I didn't realized you had already added the ability to use HOME in the svn version XD (my patch was for 1.6)

BTW, I have you seen the PC speaker emulation patch ljbade did?
http://wolf3d.darkbb.com/t1588-wolf4sdl-with-pc-speaker-sound-emulation? highlight=Doom
I tried and its great (I had to make a little change to make it work; the doors sound effect gave some problems until I changed it a bit)
here is his patch adapted for the 255 svn revision:
http://www.fileden.com/files/2010/12/31/3049394//pc-speaker-by-ljba de-build255.patch

All credits got to lijbade (Leith Bade), not me

hello, I wrote a small and dirty patch for wolf4sdl useful only for linux users.
wolf4sdl looks for the game data and the saved games files in the current directory and in linux its better to have the data on /usr/share and the saved games on HOME.
Well, this patch makes wolf4sdl look for the data on /usr/share/wolf3d and the saved games on ~/.wolf4sdl
here is http://www.mdn.fm/files/237823_msite/wolf4sdl-linuxpaths.patch
I hope it can be useful to someone :)
bye

Hey Ripper, I see you're updating Wolf4SDL covertly, up to revision 255. Any chance of seeing version 1.7 released?

Max Throft, check out the Wolf 3d Dome. The owner of the site, Brian Lowe (aka Schabbs) will host your stuff and post a news item for it. There's a contact link. We'd all love to play your custom levels.

Are you guys still playing wolf??
Me too. !
Have some great custom levels to share,
episode 1 lvls 1-10 titled 'Max Castle'
that I designed way back in '94. Custom
graphics designed to blend in and inhance
the original WOLF graphics, and I also
strived to maintain the original theme
and feel of Wolfenstein. However I did
stray from time to time - while designing
ten levels that each covered every square
of the usable map - I couldn't resist
tossing in a few tricks and suprises.
All levels are richly detailed and
decorated.

Is there any place where I can upload this
file? ("Wolfmax") - I'd love to share it if
there is any interest.

I can't believe taht I'm not the only one
STILL playing WOLF!!

Please reply with any info you can offer.

Best wishes

Max
