There are a couple of things that have been eating a hole in my brain. TexZK is helping me with Helvete, and I desperately want to add paralaxing outdoor skies. Now, say this feature were implimented, what would the dimensions of the sky texture be?? Would the paralaxed image remain 64x64, or would it be possible to have a much larger image ala Doom (like 100x80 or whatever it was) or an even larger image like that of ROTT and Duke, (which was 320x200 broken up into sections if I'm not mistaken)?
If you could let me know I'd be very pleased. I've been waiting for paralaxing forever in wolf, but know one seems to have made any attempt to impliment it (other than Adam Biser I guess) :)
Thank you kindly,
-The Chief

Sorry for the late answer, but here we go:
Thank you very much for you positive words, you don"t know how motivating they are ;D Normally we also don"t play Wolf, but creating tools for it and playing around with the source is fun! Btw, I hate mutants, too (much too fast and brutal shooting *g*).
Hmm, do you have any details about the crashes? And what do you mean with "get the music working"? Make the "editor" edit something or can"t you hear anything?? For me it works without problems in Win2k, but I did have some problems on Win98SE last month...
Currently we"re trying to get rid of a few more bugs, making the screeneditor work and improve sprite compression (saved another 3290 bytes today, so now a standard wolf vswap is 161 kb smaller if saved with CE than the original file ;D). I"m going to write a WYSIWYG help page editor, but we want to release a release version before we start adding completely new things.

Chaosedit is fantastic!! I have an admission to make...I"m a woose...well, I like WATCHING people play Wolfie and DESIGNING Wolfie but not PLAYING it, and I especially hate fighting mutants (eww...). I do have playtesters- friends and relatives who do that kinda thing but its a pain dragging someone else up to play my unfinished levels. Anyway, your software is so great because I can go through my levels (and anyone elses for that matter!) and not have to fight anyone (and get to run into them and around them and laugh at them). It was really freaky the first time I did it, I kept thinking the actors were going to spring to life and attack me but they weren"t! Haha! The mapviewing below the 3D editing page is a great feature too, I love seeing where I am in a level. Keep working on it because it"s crashed 5 times out of 8 usages (but all my files were saved at the time), and please get the music working and put in a feature that allows editng of "Readme!" pages (like Floedit...so I don"t have to use it anymore:P) with possibly more advanced editing than floedit? I"m sure you guys are up to it. | | Datum: | 19.10.2004 14:21 | | Name: | Ripper | | Homepage: | | | Kommentar: | Thanks ;D Nice songs on your homepage! Especially The Tower and Evin Incarnate (didn"t hear all yet though). But the flash ad-popups in the middle of your page suck *sniff*
PS: Notepad rules ;D | | |
